Macrobiotic products are difficult to find these days and I thank Iherb for carrying a good offering. I use a small amount of Ume paste almost each day in my soup. Eden Ume is pure and hand made. Many Ume pastes at Asian grocery stores have other ingredients like msg added. I love the salty sour taste and its many subtle health benefits.
A Japanese health blog convinced me to start drinking ume shou bancha (梅醤番茶 or pickled plum soy sauce tea). This pickled plum is great if you’re eating umeboshi for health benefits, since it doesn’t include any additives like artificial color and preservatives. Tasty and lasts forever in the fridge!
