We read a lot about reducing our salt consumption in our diet. I did, and my blood pressure went up. Hmh! Then I read some half-scientific journals and discovered that I was eating the wrong salt, aka table salt (which is very harsh because it has been over-processed). So I switched to unprocessed sea salts, like this Sal do Mar from Portugal. It has a light sweet taste, and it has all the important micro-nutrients (minerals, etc.) our bodies need. The quality is great. It comes in a re-sealable pouch. You can use it by sprinkling it on you food (or in your soup), but I prefer to use a salt grinder. I use it daily, and I believe I have become more energetic, stronger and more flexible. Well, I am also a Yogi :).
I love this salt! I've been buying light grey Celtic Sea Salt but finally bought this and I like it better for everyday, any food use. It's moist, unlike Celtic Sea Salt, and it's not as chunky. I love chunky salt for meat and hearty/savory dishes but this is good on everything. I don't know if moist salt means it's better or more unrefined but I know that the sea salt my parents brought home straight from France was moist just like this so I guess that makes me feel like it's even more legit. Will be buying again. Great taste and quality!
very good quality, use it on everything & add it to my water (1/2 teaspoon per liter) for an electrolyte effect. great for hydration ( contrary to what we are taught about salt!). will never go back to plain table salt, this has a lot of nutritional value as well as great value price wise. get it, you won't be disappointed!
Love this great quality salt.. It’s unrefined and has so many minerals which benefits your body. iI use it on all my recipes and salads. Has a great taste. Has no nasty ingredients that normal refined salt has. Comes in a resealable package and is a good size for the price
I like unrefined sea salt as it has more taste and I can use less. Also sea salt has iodine and is good for health. A packet like this last me a lot time and though it is more expensive than the salt bought at the supermarket but the paste is worth the extra cost. Besides you can use less of the salt in cooking and you can actually saved that way.
Salt that isn’t too salty! When I use a pinch on top of dishes I can lick the excess off my fingers without it tasting overly salty +refined. Really does add a lovely minerally taste that gives a dish fine nuances of flavour. If you like pink salt you’ll LOVE this! Definitely for foodies! I use this every day now +won’t go back!
Very pleasing! The lovely light pink indicates natural minerals we all need, each and every day. I've used many types of salt - this is one of my favorite. No caustic chemicals for me! Just this nourishing and flavorful addition to salads, soups and baked goods. I enjoy using this unrefined salt from the sea.
Great salt! I never knew real salt could have so many beneficial ingredients in it. The quality appears great! The package is resealable with is nice. The size of the package is also good for the price. I like that the salt has not been refined and is closer to nature.
I use this mainly for soaking my feet in hot salt water. Ingredient and packaging is good, ziplock and big packet. Soaking in hot salt water can help reduce inflammation around the joints and improve blood circulation. Did not taste it as did not use for cooking.
When I got this item, I was surprised It is wet …so it’s impossible to fill it into the table jar as it is not “sandy”. So I use it for cooking. It is not so salty as regular salt. I think it’s like about 80% of normal salt. I like the mild sea taste.
