Excellent product, but it contains only one-sixth part of potassium

It's a very good quality, pure product, nothing else in it, but it contains only one-sixth part of potassium, so you need to take a relatively large amount of it to get enough potassium, so I ran out very quickly. (Therefore I gave only 4 stars.) On a Western salt-rich diet you would need 4700 mg of potassium a day, and I was only able to get about half of that at mealtimes even when I was eating lots of potassium-rich fruit and vegetables on an autoimmune paleo diet, so I think everyone should take a potassium supplement. It's worth taking it during/after meals because it's much better absorbed when blood sugar levels are high, I'm writing this from my own experience. Some people find the taste of potassium chloride a bit bitter-salty (I don't), so if you don't like the taste of potassium chloride, you should try potassium gluconate or potassium citrate, which have a virtually neutral taste. Potassium deficiency has always been a problem for me, although for a long time I didn't know that I didn't have enough potassium in my body. Even as a child I was easily dizzy and fainted several times. When I stood up, almost everything went black in front of me. Later on I developed adrenal fatigue and chronic diarrhea, which caused my body to lose extra potassium. When I started to take potassium supplements, even small amounts made me feel better, my muscle aches and cramps improved, and even a benign fat tumor (lipoma) that I had developed years ago disappeared. I am now supplementing about 3x 1000 mg potassium (3x 2000 mg potassium chloride) and I see that my water balance is finally improving and my blood sugar balance has also improved.

Rewarded Review

Since using this high quality Potassium Gluconate powder, along with NOW Magnesium Bisglycinate and my own mineral salt flakes, my blood pressure has normalised and leg muscles no longer cramp after intense exercise. Muscle strength has also gone up along with reduced anxiety and better brain function (when used with the Mag and mineral salt flakes...they all work together from my experience). All adds up to this powder providing a lot of health benefits, especially cardiac and muscle function. The powder is easy to take in a little warm water (to dissolve) along with the Mag + mineral salt flakes, before exercise or bed. I just use the recommend dose but, I also try to get plenty of Potassium from foods as well. As modern humans use quite a lot of Potassium each day and it is important to ensure adequate dietary Potassium levels to avoid muscle and cardiac symptoms (which can arise when Sodium, Potassium, Calcium and Magnesium levels become diminished or unbalanced, through excessive sweat, urination, ir inadequate dietary intake, especially on a lower carbohydrate diet (which may result in reduced intake of Potassium, and also Magnesium and Calcium, all necessary for healthy cardiac and muscle function) Since giving up all processed foods in recent months (often very high in mineral Sodium), my Sodium:Potassium ratio has improved, a good thing on its own. However, being on a reduced carbohydrate diet, which may be lower in Potassium (less plants & fruits, typically a great source of Potassium) Potassium Gluconate is a safe composition to take, for me, based on available research (when compared to cheaper forms of Potassium powders) This Potassium Gluconate powder is worth trying, if you aren't consuming enough dietary Potassium and if you need to improve blood pressure on a western diet (where most people have too much Sodium relative to dietary Potassium + Magnesium ...they need to be in balance with each other to avoid cardiac and muscle symptoms. The package size is quite large at 450g so will last several months, great value for money if you want to avoid Potassium deficiency, and the symptoms that come with it
