This is one of few sustained-release Coenzyme Q10 iherb carries. According to the manufacturer (Quality of Life Labs), 1 capsule will have a 24-hour effect. However, if you are deficient, you may want to up to 2 capsules per day (eg 1 with breakfast and 1 in the early afternoon) until your Q10 level reaches normal. In my opinion, when it comes to Q10, you are better-off if your level is on the high-normal.

The iherb offer of Quality of Life coenzyme Q10 is exceptional because of the micro-encapsultion of CoQ10 by cyclodextrine, which results not only in better resorption butut also in a much higher bioavailability and duration of efficacy. Usual coenzyme Q10 is only partially absorbed ans has a rather low bioavailability.

This is one of the two sustained release Q10 products iherb carries. When it comes to Q10, absorption is far more important than the amount itself, since Q10 is generally poorly absorbed. As one would expect, this is more expensive than "regular" Q10 products, but I think it's worth the extra buck. Quality of Life Labs is an interesting company, their flagship supplement being the well-known immune-supportive AHCC (Active Hexose Correlated Compound), marketed as Kinoko. They also carry a series of other sustained-release supplements, such as sustained-release melatonin, curcumin and resveratrol.

I have been taking this product for two months now for assisting my heart as I suffer with high BP , High Blood Glucose & Cholesterol and my husband has noticed that I sleep peacefully and wake up less exhausted. Recently I went without these tablets for about 2 weeks whilst waiting for my order and noticed myself how I felt when I woke up, I was lethargic and felt awful. I an sure the Quality CoQ10-SR is making a difference . I might note that I am on other supplements like Throne Taurine which also assists in controlling BP, and a natural herbal drink which contributes greatly to my well being! I'd rather take these supplements than drugs which have numerous side effects of which I know my body is sensitive to synthetic man made pharmaceutical drugs. I had a reading of 196/101 and pulse of 88 and not my BP has gone down to 156/96 and pulse of 80 in just a few weeks and I'm looking forward to seeing drop further. To bring my BP down naturally was not an easy decision as I have already had a stroke but to me and my body it was the right decision, as I wanted to know why this was happening and through my investigation I found out that I had an inflammation in my body causing all these problems and all I had to do was calm the inflammation down first for the body to respond and that's why I take the natural herbal drink.
